LT engine Swap
LT engine Swap
Hello All...
I realize this is a Chevy board but I thought if there was any place to get an answer about an engine swap it would be here.
I own a 1993 Buick Roadmaster wagon. It is my doggie hauler, my English Bulldogs like the roominess and comfort of the car. I own a few Buick GranSports (2 1965's & a 1966) but don't hold that against me....
Anyway, the car has a 350 motor that is tired. In 1994 they went to the LT1 motor and I'm just wondering if it would be a difficult swap and if not what would I need to do, and what parts would need changing to accomodate the LT1 motor...wiring harness, computer, tranny, etc. The car is in excellent condition but an LT motor in the car would make for a more interesting ride.
As an aside, the car is set up to look like an Impala SS...with an SS grille, emblems, SS rims...one would never know it is a Buick Roadmaster.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and if it is a crazy swap fraught with nigtmares I'll stick with another 350 but with a few modifications.
Best regards to all,
Gordon
