91 Firebird 5.7 into an 87 Camaro 5.7 car
Hey guys quick question, will a 1991 Firebird 5.7 motor fit into my 1987 IrocZ originally 5.7 motor car? The Firebird motor is listed at 245 HP and the Camaro 5.7 at 225, why the difference and will it fit? And is it just a drop in, because the Firebird engine is complete,
Thanks

Depends.
Depends on how much of the '91 engine you put in. Longblock? Bolts right in. After that, you'll have things to get around.
'91 was speed density, dual cat, and had a slightly bigger cam.

Yes.
And the '91 engine would too, if you put your '87 TPI stuff on it.

May i ask why you are doing this? Especially with the GTA, if it doesnt have to die, dont kill it.
