Oil Pan for 400

Well, after looking through the search and not finding what I am looking for, I thought I would just ask. What oil pans is everybody using that have put a 400 chevy engine in their 3rd gens? What about crossmember clearance? Anyone using an aftermarket pan and if so, what are you using? My motor has the stock pan with it but would like to go with at least a 5qt or 6qt pan, also, anyone using a windage tray in pan as well? As for stroke, this one will be a stock stroke 400. Thanks for any info and suggestions.

I use a Canton Racing 7qt oil pan on mine with no clearance problems. Stock exhaust won't work with it though.

I got a 400 in mine with a stock 400 pan.It has to be a 400 pan with the notches on the rails or the rods will hit.

When you say stock exhaust, will that include headers and the y pipe for them? I use Hedman shorty style headers with their y-pipe. My pan from original motor was a right hand dipstick and the 400 has the original stock pan on it, I just didn't know if the pan would clear ok, but sounds like it will. I think I will go with the Milodon windage tray kit for it anyway to help control the oil better. Thanks for the replies..
