Changing to a carbed engine and stripping the engine bay.

I'm swapping out a TPI 305 for a carbed mild 350. I wanted to strip down the engine bay to the bare essentials. My question is what all can I take out that later down the road I realise that I needed.

Oh yea forgot to mention the car is an '86 IROC

What all wiring do I need to keep? The engine compartment is left a mess after stripping all the TPI off.

You'll want to keep the charging system, gauges, and most of the ignition wiring, probably the fans as well.

you could always just swap a factory carb engine harness in they are dirt common and were from 82 to 87 in these cars, 88 in other cars

you wont have tranny lockup wiring anymore if you pull the ecm and ecm harness

so you will have to deal with that if you have a 700r4 trans

good luck
