Swap from HELL, Need tuner in MA area

so i decided to take my chances and swap a TPI engine from a GTA into my truck... an 88 GMC sierra 4x4. Took of the TPI intake and put an HSR on there, vortec heads, comp XFI cam, speed pro pistons etc... i used a painless harness and completely tore out the factory TBI harness. MSD EVERYTHING: dist, 6al ETC... FINALLY got this thing running after months of toying with it and its got all sorts of issues. im using a PCM from an 89 iroc. i pulled the prom and used a GM performance prom that i bought from summit. this thing idles all over the place some times. sometimes it will start stall... i get it running and give is some gas and it will even out but not idel the greatest (dont think it will with the cam) but reguardless... throttle response is crap. i toy with the timing and TPS and it seems to idel better but it backfires under accel or it will just completely stall out... im at my end with this thing and have thousands invested in it and nothing else to drive. does anyone know a tuner in new england that will take this thing on and burn a prom for this? im thinking a lot of the issue is with the prom, even though it has an aftermarket one in there. i need someone who can plug into this thing and mess with my values, set the TPS to its correct state and tell me my weak points. when i do get this thing running ok, it has NO power under accel, it seems to be a lot more peppy under light throttle. i actually work at a dealership and have had the older guys try and give me a hand with this nightmare and we cant figure it out. also, it runns better with less fuel pressure?! i crank the pressure down to about 37 and it runs a lot better... im at a complete dead end and need some serious help here

Re: Swap from HELL, Need tuner in MA area

the truck is in dorchester right now, i work down there. one of the senior guys in the shop lives by a tuner in weymouth and i talked with him on the phone for a half hour and hes willing to give it a shot. douglas is FAR from me man. if this guy falls through ill give them a call though. getting the truck all the way out there is going to be my only problem. you sure he can burn PROMs for OBD1 apps? there are a ton of tuners around new england, but they all do OBD2 (since its much easier) and rape your wallet. actually, my brother went there with his 2000 TA, got it dyno'd and the guy managed to squeeze out 38 more HP to the wheels...but he also paied the guy 450 bucks...
