350 with stock 305 TPI

The title kind of explains the question. I've been looking around at the different threads concerning engine swapping and there's a lot of talk about going to an LS1 or LT1. I remember hearing (long time back) that you could pretty much swap out the 305 for a 350, and still use the TPI setup with little mods?

In my mind there would be a couple of concerns:

1-Fuel pressure would need to be increased (uprated fuel pump & injectors)
2-Modified chip?
3-Various other sensors that all feed to the ECM

Basically, I have at my disposal a ready to build 350 bare block at little or no cost (other than the cost of mods to my current setup). I haven't checked the numbers on it so I don't know its year of origin or anything yet so that will have to be checked into.

Anyway ideas or threads that I may have overlooked on thier very subject?

Thanks

(BTW, my car is an '86 TA with 305TPI, auto, all stock with 150k in miles)

The differences between '86-'89 305 TPI and '87-'89 350 TPI are the injectors (19 lb/hr for 305, 22 lb/hr for 350), knock sensor & module, and PROM tuning. The most important of those are injectors and knock sensor & module. Both '89 versions deleted the cold start injector.

There are no differences with the other sensors.

Adjustable fuel pressure regulator and PROM tuning are typical TPI tuning mods, regardless of whether 305 or 350.

Re: 350 with stock 305 TPI

Interesting, my feeling is that this is an older 350 ( I don't even know if its a 4 bolt or 2) BUT the swap wouldn't be that bad with the correct injectors and prom tuning.

I'm going to get the rest of the details later this week (it belongs to my brother in law...he got it when he bought a '72 Nova...not the original engine...just something that came as an extra.) He sold the car and will probably let me have the block if I let him help me! (he's wierd like that).
