first time engine swapper v6-v8
Like it says this will be my first big project with my camaro (currently 3.1L V6) I'll most likely be getting the 350 tpi from a junkyard near by in the summer after i get some more money from working. I've read all of the articles and stickies all over the web, not just here. I don't understand where you start on removing the engine. Do i have to take out everything that's under the hood or what? Do i just unplug everything that's not pressurized thats plugged into the engine and then pull it out with the tranny. I just need some tips and guidance on what to do first and how to go about doing this swap. I don't need info on what parts I need and all that stuff. I'm just going to buy a donor car and take everything off of there then most likely rebuild it and do some mods before putting it in.

Buy a shop manual that describes how to remove the engine. It'll be general, but that's still a good start.
From there:
Step 1: Take pictures of both cars before you start taking things apart.
Step 2: Label everything as you disconnect or remove, and take more in-process pictures.
The only pressurized thing you don't want to disassemble is the air conditioning. You can remove the entire unit in one piece without breaking any of the lines. Much easier with two people, of course, but then you'll have functioning AC without having to get a recharge (assuming the donor car AC works).
