Yes, there are nuts and washers on the back side inside the K member. A search will turn up all sorts of enlightening information on the joys of accessing them.

Personally, I like long "wobble" extensions and u-joints wrapped with electrical tape!!

Re: motor mounts
Are they 5/8 or 9/16? The ones I got from a donor car were 9/16. I used a distributor wrench to get at the bolts through the crossmember. Worked good.

Re: motor mounts
they are metric, between 5/8 and 9/16 i believe. they are a whole lot of fun to get out. to make things better, there are washers on the nut side as well. they are easier to get at with the a-arms out, but it can be done with everything still installed. i got mine off with a long 3/8 extension, a swivel and a crows foot wrench. its a real PITA, but its possible. you will need a second person to work from the top. you can sit a work light on the a-arms shining into the k-member from the mounting points for the a-arms and that will give you enough light inside of everything to see the nuts. the passenger side is a little harder because everything is shifted a bit, so the nuts are in there a little further.

Re: motor mounts
All in all, probably the easiest thing to do is drop the a-arms down, by taking the springs out and you can reach them from there. I did mine in about hour and a half

The nuts inside the crossmember take a 15mm socket/wrench.
