Okay, considering this swap..

327 SBC with 72 350 heads, and manley valve guides blah blah blah.. It's 400$, and I gotta rebuild it. Easy, done it before. But what tranny would fit into my 5 Speed car? I know I can't use the T-5 because I would turn it into mush. So would a Muncie M-21 fit into my car, or will I have to get a Tremec T-56? Please help so I don't make a dumb decision! Thanks, KP.

Re: Okay, considering this swap..

you can put almost any 5 speed you want int he car, it just takes money. if you want a 5 speed, look into the tko500 and tko600. they are good, strong 5 speeds, you can get install kits from forte's parts connection, and crossmembers from spohn

Good stuff. The 327 I'm thinking about getting was in a 68 Firebird, and ran 13.5 with a stock bottom end. So it should be pretty hairy if I ever get it done..
