tach problem

tach problem

will the 3.1 tach in a 91 bird work for the 350 i put in it......well work correctly anyways cause i know it works and isnt too far off but does it read accurately?

No, it doesn't read accurately. The V6 tach assumes 3 pulses equals one rotation, while the V8 tach thinks 4 pulses equals one rotation. So, with a V8 running a V6 tach, the tach will read higher than the engine is actually turning.

it doesn't read accurately but i used a dokota digital box to correct mine the tach signal wire is white in the c7spot behind the guages
