if i take a fuel injected engine out of a car and put a carbed engine in will it have problems passing inspection?

You're gonna have problems no matter where you live if you have to get an emissions inspection. You just can't do it unless it's one of those years (like 1987) when there were both carbs and EFI available. You should be able to swap but you will have to use the computer controlled quadrajet and all LG4 smog accessories to make it right.

Good luck with that; I can't imagine anyone doing that on purpose.

I think maybe you were thinking that you could rip off your TPI and just slap a Holley on it.

no its a 92 and i was thinking about buying it and the person i was gunna buy it from did a swap so its carbed now and i just wanted to see if it would pass inspection

 

I can't say anything specific about Maryland, but if they open the hood looking for stock emissions control equipment, they're going to have a cow with a carb sitting there in a '92.
