LT1 engine mounts
Can anyone tell me why LT1 complete engine mounts are so damned expensive? I checked and Advance wants $240 each, so basically $500 per set. What the hell makes them so special that they ask for so much?
Cant I just use the mounts that are in the car(305)since they are both sbc engines? I was wanting to go aftermarket, but it appears that all the aftermarket engine mounts are only the insert kits, and not the actual mount assembly.
What would be my best option. I was thiking either using poly mounts or solid mounts. Not sure which way to go? Its not a daily driver, but I'd definitely want to maintain some comfort. How bad would the vibrations get with a solid mount?

Re: LT1 engine mounts
So I can just use the mounts already in the car, and bolt right onto the LT1, and buy aftermarket poly mounts for the 305? That would be great. It would certainly save me a TON of cash.
