4th Gen blew itself up, considering saving the engine for swap
Car in question is in the sig.
My rear locked up suddenly and without warning a few weeks ago while driving 50 mph down the road. Torque Arm, Rear end, rear shocks, rear springs, fuel lines, brake lines, u-joints, yokes, driveshaft, and transmission all went with it within the few seconds after it decided to blow. Not to mention, some how a hole was ripped into the bottom of the car.
I believe the frame was compromised during all this as well and honestly I just don't want to pour all that money back into it. So I'm considering saving the LT1 to swap into a cheap project third gen.
I pretty much have a complete LT1 4th gen to pull parts from so what are some of the things that I will need to "fill in the blanks" swapping engines?
I'll have the engine
A full LT1 engine wiring harness
Fans
Radiator
ECU
Fuel pump
Power steering reservoir
Front brake pads, calipers, and rotors
Even a complete interior
The things that cannot be reused are the things that I mentioned before. So anything you think I can swap over lemme know.
I want to try to make as much of my stuff carry over to the 3rd gen as I can. I already have long tubes, is there some way to make them fit into a 3rd gen? I plan on putting in an X-pipe so I won't reuse my ORY which I believe won't fit anyway. My A/C never worked so I'm just going to delete that out. So I should be able to use stock motor mounts in a 3rd gen without A/C right? How would I plumb the PS? So what will I have to get that I cannot pull out of the donor car?

You'll be able to make good use of pretty much all of that.
