putting a 350 in camaro

Hey i am just wondering, would a 350 four bolt engine fit in my 1985 camaro, the casting numbers are 3970010,if you could answer this post as soon as possible id be grateful

no, i have the 85 with the v6 2.8, thats why i need to replace it

Any engine will fit into any car depending on how much time and money you want to put into it

There are like literally hundreds of threads on here about putting a SBC into an F-body

simple non-sarcastic answer: Yes. a 350 will fit easily

the only problem you may have is with trying to use any of the old V6 stuff, which i dont think any of it is compatible, and i think the transmission MAY need swapped too but im not sure. Still, it should be a relatively painless swap.

Yeah it'll fit but like the guy said above me, i'm not all that sure but i also think that the tranny would have to be swapped out. and i've heard that doing the conversion from a v6 to a v8 you'll have to change out quite a bit of stuff, namely the motor mounts.
