Re: engine swap ??????????????
well honestly i'd go with a big block over a 3.8 *any* day, nothing wrong with them but.."big block" and "almost done" why want to go to 3.8 from that?

Re: engine swap ??????????????
I would run a turbo Buick first because I like to drive the car everywhere. BBC cars are front heavy and it throws the handling way off. Most guys here are drag racing with them when I see their pictures. Turbo Buick guys drag too, but their cars are a little more agile if you have to make a high speed turn.
Just another opinion and my

Re: engine swap ??????????????
I'd second the Turbo Buick engine!!!
After having had many small blocks in this body style from a 355 all the way to a 434sbc I've ended up with a V6.
My car now is very quiet and gets good MPG. It's got the best of both worlds... runs on pump gas. For it's first time out this year with this setup it went 11.19@123mph on 93oct. with 17lbs of boost.
Very slow 60' due to the converter being too tight. My MPH is mid 10's.(with the right launch)
I'm planning on putting a VSC (variable stall controll) in the transmission this winter which will put my stall at 3500 instead of 2500. I should be able to launch with 10-15lbs of boost and go 1.4's where the car did with a different buick/200R4 trans.
Here's the way the car looks now...

Re: engine swap ??????????????
Thanks... I think that's the first thing everyone that's seen it says.
Hope to clean it up some more when I put it back together here in a few months with the improvements. I'll eventually build a Stage 2 engine that has more CID and better duribiltiy than the stock block engine but they are getting hard to find and are expensive.
