Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

Not for a stock tank. (that I know of)

I put a RJC allum. cell in the back of my car. It's -8 feed -8 return -6 roll over with check ball. 15gallon.
This fits in that deep part under the hatch. I built a allum. hatch cover that has black carpet on it. It's NHRA safe and looks nice.
Stock tanks just don't cut it for very long when your using a boosted engine.
(Turbo buick in mine) you've got a sbc with turbo setup. I understand your fuel needs.
I run a fitting right on the cell that converts it from -8 to -10 then to the aeromoive pump then to the fuel rail. I can run -6 back to the tank. No problems there.
I can take some pictures of my setup and post them if your interested.

Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

Here's my cell and cover. The 15gal like I have in mine needs the front corners to be square to fit in there real good but I like the big tank.
A 10 gallon fits right in.
Here's pic's of the cover I made out of thick allum. and covered it with black carpet.
Hope that helps you.

Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

That is the way it is designed. RJC makes a 15 gallon (Pictured) and a 10gallon.

The 10gallon fits right down in there. The 15gal needs to have the front corners of the unibody modified to fit down in better. (like mine)

RJC Racing makes plastic and allum cells. Either are fine.
Hope that helps,
Scott~

Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

The stock lines are too small supporting any kind of power. I run a -10 feed and -6 return to the tank. Aeromotive A1100pump.

The RJC Cell is under 200.00 and the Aeromotive pump is under 200.00 as well.

Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

I drive my car daily in the summer as well.... The red color line that's at the top of the tank there is a vent line.... all the fumes go out that line. You could connect it to the factory charchol cansister if you've still got it but I just have it venting there under the car. No fuel smell in the vehicle. The tank has a anti roll over check ball on that "vent" line built right into the tank.
RJC is the maker of the tank.
Hope that helps,
Scott~

I can't seem to find that tank, where should I look for it?
It's not listed on the RJC racing site.

Or, you could weld a sump on a stock tank.

Re: Custom Fuel tanks?

Oh Man guys.... I totaly goofed.... it's RCI not RJC... I'm a idiot.

Look at summit racing and enter RCI and look under fuel cells. THere's alot of stand up cells like the one in mine.

RJC Sells all the products for the Turbo Buick guys. I'm so usto saying and I guess typing RJC that I just put it down. I'm sorry for mis-leading you on the name brand....

Check out RCI (duh) LOL..
Good luck fellas.
