just depends on how much money your willing to put in it,it would take alot to make enough power as a stock 350,you would be better off with a 350 in my opinion,i had the 305 tpi in mine and i swapped in a 350 and havent been disappointed yet

yea everywhere you turn people will turn you away from using a 305 (bored out or not) for anything, they will tell you to convert to a 350 right away. If you already got the 335, either try to sell it to re-coup most of your money or use it and just live with it, i'm happy with my 305, and obviously a 335 will get more hp than if you started with a 305, but just remember next time to try and use a 350 if your going for more power and efficiency.

Consider this: The difference in cost between building a 334 (it isn't quite 335) vs. 383 is somewhere between $50-150. You can build a 350 for less than either of them.
You can get a 305 running very well without touching the shortblock. In fact, to get decent power out of the 334, you'd have to do everything it would take to get power out of the 305, except you'll spend $700-800 more getting 29 more cubic inches with the 334 - very poor $'s/HP ratio. It's a lot less expensive getting 100 more ponies out of a 305 than it is building a 334.
Bang-for-buck, the 334 just doesn't get there. One member did it several years ago, and he car does run very well; but even he says now he should have done 350 or 383.
