383 Stroker swap (1st swap)
This is by far the best place for information and ideas, so i wanted to get some positive and negitive opinions one my project. I am starting out with my old Iroc-z from 1988. It is the 5.7 tpi version. The new motor going in is and older block with the older style heads. Roller Camshaft-110lsa (290/300 intake) (222/230@.50 Exhaust) Lift-.468/.480 with 1.5 rockers but it has 1.6 rockers so it is .499/.512 I have an older style tpi base to fit the new heads along with the runners and plenum (later i plan to swap to the superram intake). Opened up the exhaust with headman headers, y-pipe, cutout, flowmaster single in dual out. I am using the heated o2 sensor along with this setup. i've cut the air box to simulate a ram air effect. March underdrive pulleys, new radiator, champion plugs/msd wires, smog pump delete, and new prom. Please give me your feedback and tell me what you guys think. good or badd anything helps. Thanks again.

It's time to invest a little money into tuning equipment. You need to spend hours and hours over in the DIY PROM section.
I've heard that a cam with a 110 lsa has trouble in a TPI- even with major tuning.. Best to go over there and find out!

I would go with a carb. but, fuel injection is alot more fun when you think of all the options you can go with. Plus it looks mean under the hood and you can get more HP for your money.
