caddy swapage; wieghts and dimensions

I have a Cadillac 500 all built all i want to know is the dimensions of the 82 to 92 Camaro /bird (v8). the length being the measurement from firewall to radiator /electric fan. and the width being from shock tower to shock tower.

lastly which weighed less the 3rd gen v8 bird or v8 camaro?

fayt-

pictures to come my camera is shot thanks to me girlfriend.

(ie 500 bored .30 over forged pistons 625 cam roller lifters rockers ported polished heads and possible i am going to use a m90 blower with a intercooler all custom also a aluminum intake which makes the motor weigh only 40 lbs more than a stock iron small block chev 305 ect.)

Chances are you are going to need to delete the a/c to get it to fit, possibly the wiper motor. Im sure you'll have more than enough room front to back and side to side, its just going to come down to what accessories you can retain.

You may also want to go ahead and toss the idea of that M90 out the window, its just not going to be able to feed an engine that large.

Re: caddy swapage; wieghts and dimensions

well i am going to run electric fans electric water pump. the only things on the engine are going to be power steering and the alternator. nothing else.

i just need the exact dimensions if possible and if anyone knows which of the who weighs less. which ever weighs less is the one i am going to go for i care less for looks. albeit i really like the predator kit.

as far as the blower goes its not just a stock blower its setup as far as ported and the whatnot its not going to push ALOT of air but just enough for what i am looking for. i have not yet figured how i am goign to setup the carb for it yet blow through obviously but demon has a carb as such but is around 1500 bucks just for the carb . which is, well nuts.

it IS a thirdgen site, though i have had no reason to measure my engine bay, and few people are going to have that info on hand, nor are they going to just drop everything and run right outside and grab those measurements in the past 24 hours.

As for weight, it also depends on model, but in general the transams/gta's were the heavyest. A SC camaro or base bird will be the lightest

i guess i can grab a measurement or two since im such a nice guy, you can send me some beer later

from right behind the dizzy, i have about 34" to the fan area
from the firewall overtop of the "frame rails" to the fans i have 32"
the width of the towers at its closest point is about 35"
the width between the "framerails" is about 30"

Don't you own a measuring tape?

I won't say any more because all the info you need to know is in the above link.

Re: caddy swapage; wieghts and dimensions

Who needs measurements??

I'd be more concerned with the precision hood cutting!!

Here's some more from guy who did it. I kept his pictures...

If you search Cadillac, I'm sure you'll find it.
