Re: help with choosing fuel pump!
The V6 pump is okay for TBI; I wouldn't use it for TPI...
When you go to the parts store, look up the pump for the 89 turbo trans am. It is the same pump that the first vortec trucks used and is just awesome for the TPI setup. It is designed for a 60 psi vortec system pressure and with your stock regulator you will get your minimum 41 psi for sure. There are no downsides to running this pump.
It only costs about 5 bucks more than any other 3rd gen...

Re: help with choosing fuel pump!
You will need a high pressure pump for Tpi. Tbi is around 15psi while tpi operates at 45 or so, but mpfi i think has the high press the tpi needs. Just order a 255 lph pump from holley are some one i think the holley is like $120 or so from jegs and you'll have a good fule system

Re: help with choosing fuel pump!
what is the part number for the TTA pump???? i went to lordco and they just looked at me all dumb founded
i put in the v6 pump today just to get it running. i think the v6 pump will pump out enough psi and gph, since its the exact same pump as the tpi cars (same P/N.) id much rather have the TTA pump though.

Re: help with choosing fuel pump!
You can also look up a fuel pump for a 97 GMC Suburban 1500 with a 350 Vortec engine.
Part numbers are:
E3270 Master
P74074 Carter
Good luck!
Both are around 75-85 bucks.

It's an exact replacement. No mods necessary.
