trans am project finially together and "running"

sorry for double posting i realized where i had this at first wasnt exactly the right spot so i put here instead

89 firebird origionally 305tpi car some idiot had a turboed 2.8 in befor i bought the shell

finially fixed my motor mount problems (felt quite stupid after) wired it up and started just fine no smoke no noises clean running, heres what the engine has as of now:

74 z28 350 4bolt
someone put a mild crane cam in befor i got ahold of it and a double roller (lopes just a little bit)
holly contender intake
670 cfm holly street avenger
headers (who knows what kind ha ha)
3 inch catless with a super 44 flowmaster (taken from my camaro for time being)
and a tci streetfighter th350 with a b&m 2200 stall

i drove it around for a bit to make sure everything worked did just fine and we put it on our senior techs dyno (he owns a performance shop here in town) results were better than i expected for an engine with no rebuild since 74

peak horse was 286 @4900
torque was 320 @ 2800

now that i know it runs well im pulling the heads tommorow match porting the heads to intake and headers new head gaskets fresh oil change and putting crane gold roller rockers in (i was told by the person who i got the engine from the lifters were replaced with the cam and chain 8k miles befor he totaled the camaro) after this is all done ill re dyno and post resul

Nothing like baby's first cry. Congrats!

That engine mount thing was quite a trip, eh?

Make sure the heads are worth the effort. My spidey senses are making me think you've got 882 heads.

well for the time being i can do it on my own we have all the equip here at P.C.C. plus im drifting towards taking the machining class so work like that cant hurt my experiance.. since this engine is only 30 horse shy of my camaro and that has flat tops i plan on the same eagle pitsons i used in thta and getting some 2.02 64cc heads i see ur in colorado too n u know its not to bad on octane to compression ratio at this altitude so i should be able to run this thing on 91 as a daily driver and pump race feul into it for summer trips to pmi strip... im hoping for around 300 even horses with just the porting rockers n since my camaro has seemed to become a slight donor car im going to put my 6al and 9mm wires on it for some extra spark...in a few months whe i rebuild i wanna see around 330-40 at the wheels and a 13 second run down here maybe a 14 at bandimere

well.. it wasnt too great after all.

we gotta backed up space wise in class so instead of doing teh port job i changed the oil n plugs and drove it for a bit... n i do a fair share of firdaya nd saturday night street racing in my city.. n i killed a fewsrt neons and some new gt stangs (got eatin up by a charged fox body 5.0 ) n i rolled up to a 99 cobra doch4.6 n my camaro lost by 2 leangth so i fibured id win in the bird.. i hit second and i started hearing a clanking in my engeine bay so i dropped out and check it out its below the heads inner engine i think a ring went out or maybe a spun bearing... but anyway im thinkinga .040 over 355 build and use the engine from my camaro to drive for now.. anyone have any thoughts on a stronger build for less than 1500?
