Re: throttle cable advice

I am currently running a universal bracket assemly from summit. It was less than 20 bucks, and its cheap. It works ok though. YOu could even go boneyard walking and find some stuff. As far as the throttle cable, my car was an 87 with a 2.8mpfi. Same basic look, just different bottom end. My stock cable worked with the bracket and an eddy intake and carb.

A stock cable for '82-'87 V8 carb will work without having to wind around anything. I haven't checked for availability from the dealer new, but it shouldn't be too hard to find from a member.

Hmmm, come to think of it, I have one available now. . .

The kickdown "cable" is a wire. Power to the switch, other side to the tranny. When the switch closes, the tranny kicks down.

You also need to hook up the vacuum modulator.

I'm not sure the shifter cable will bolt to the tranny pan. Probably will, but I'm just not sure. I know a Mega Shifter will. . .
