350 to 454!
Sorry for the long post, got a 89Z with a L98 TPI and a 68' Nova II with a 454, and i got some questions.
I've always been a BBC fan, love the torque and power. I bought a Nova from a friend and has a fresh 454 TBI in it, and i want to swap the engines with the two of them. I always wanted a Nova for a daily driver, and a 454 doesnt cut $4 a gallon. I also have always wanted a big block in my third gen, as its been handed down in the family, and its mine to do what i want with. **STRIP CAR!!**
I know what im doing ECU/Harness wise, tranny wise etc. But i mainly have these questions:
Once the 454 is set in the Z, what should i do suspension wise? I already got a 12 bolt ford rear in it, and have a powerglide that i plan on throwing in there with the package. Also, the Radiator, howes that going to hold? New? What kind?
Now for a nova question..
Once i get the 350 TPI in the nova, im going to have a problem with the air intake sense its MAF.. So, i want to find a way to throw a cold air intake on it without giving the MAF sensor hell. What should i need? My buddy has an 89 GTA with a CAI on it, and he used the same tb hose and threw a cold air intake on it from a dodge durango, and worked out fine.. im thinking i will do the same, but it will just be turned 180 degrees.
Again sorry for the long post, but appreciate the help!

If you want a BBC in your third gen, read this

If you want EFI on your BBC, you're on your own.

Re: 350 to 454!
Do you plan to make a strip car with TBI? or do you plan to swap to carb?
I have just never heard of someone swapping a 454 in to a car for the strip and keeping it TBI. If it is going to be a strip car I would think high rise single plane, no?
