i have a problem
i have a problem. i just finished my motor swap ( 1988 L98 tpi ). it starts and drives sorta however, yesterday i drove it to the gas station next to my house and it didint make it there. the car started to have some problems it was dieing, then it finally died and i couldnt start it up again. i had to do the lonely push down the street and embarrass myself. i got really frustrated and took a shower ( maybe 10 mins ) went back outside to tinker and it started right up. i went to back it up to re-park it and it shut off again but this time it started again and i parked it. i have all the vac hoses hooked up like they are supposed to. the only thing that isnt hooked up is the sensors on the heads and the O2 and the coolant temp for inside the dash. can anyone help me out?

Check fuel pressure, I had the same problem when i bought my Iroc with a blown 305, and threw a new L98 setup in it.. turned out to be a clogged to hell FPR and bad fuel pump.

Port charlotte is in South west FL, Right above Sarasota, and right below Fort Myers.. about 2 hours from Tampa. Miami is quite a drive away for meh.. even tho i drive to the keys quite often.

Also, i see you have a '90 Car, and swapped with a '88 L98, 85-89 was MAF, and 90-92 was SD.. Which did you stick with?
Im guessing SD, as if you went with MAF you would have had to swap the harness and ECM.

Re: i have a problem
oh yeah i did the whole thing its a maf car now and it was a pain. didnt swap the inside harness ( dash and such ) but i did swap the engine harness. i have 2 switches for my fuel pump and fuel pump relay. for some reason thoes are the only 2 things that don't come on with just the key turned so i ran 2 radioshack switch's and that worked.
