gm crate not for 78 and newer??? huh?

i am looking at some gm crates and all i read is for 78 and earlier models not meant for street use. i want to keep my egr system and my stock aluminum intake. is the intake manifold the only thing that makes it a non emissions motor.
what about all the block sensors that i have on my L69 now? will they be on the new block. not sure what i'm supposed to do here. i know poeple are implanting 350's into these cars what are they doing about the egr and block sensors. they have to come on the new block right.

can someone please tell me what motor i need to be looking at. h/p betweet 300 and 450. sorryif this is all stupid ***** but i really need some help here.

thanks alot.
Jay.

You can ask about a 50 state legal crate motor.
Or buy a long block, then just put your intake, carb, etc on it. Don't go too aggressive on the cam/heads of the new engine and you'll be fine. Screw in your O2 sensor and the rest is done.

PS - Good picture, that's a sharp looing car there. Wish mine looked that good.

Here you go:

http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/p...12AZ73498&trk=

If that doesnt work then go to yearone.com and look at Chevrolet then 82-02 Camaro, then Power Crate engine assemblies, then its part number CT350PC1.
