swapping 85 305 to 87 350, wiring?
hey guys, i'm swapping my l98 into my 85 t/a with an lb9.
what i'm wondering, is whether i can get away with only swapping the engine wiring harness that goes through the passenger bulkhead, or if i need to swap the complete wiring harness. i know the computers are different, i have a complete donor car and 165 ecm to boot so i have all parts needed just need the info.
i'll probably have more questions as i go along, thanks alot!

the l98 is an 87, the car is an 85.
to further complicate things, the 87 is my old GTA with digital dash, and the 85 has a mechanical speedo.
i'm swapping the engine and trans into the 85, and i'd like to swap the dash too but time's a lil tight, so we were wondering if we HAD to swap it all at once or not.

The '85 & '87 won't have exactly the same under-hood non-ECM stuff (alternator and AC connections different, for instance). I'm not sure you have to change any of it, though. Take out the 305, leave the harness in the car, put in the 350 w/it's injectors & knock sensor, change out the ECM, and if you use the '87 transmission, the speedo drive gears.
If I'm incorrect, hopefully someone will chime in and set the record straight.
I think I'd stick with the '85 dash. But, I'm lazy.
