first time 305 tpi to 383stroke carb 91 z28
this is my first project. ive been looking online and seen this flange plate i thing thats what its called. how much does this help and is it worth the work. any help is greatly appriciated thanks. i have a 383 shortblock with flatops and a 500hp trickflow 23 degree top end kit. im planning to get a barry grant carb 750 and a edlebrock performer rpm intake. any inputs on this combo? and i really dont know much about trickflow. how good are they?

Can you post a link or part number for this flange plate? I'm not clear what it could be.
Trickflow stuff has been pretty good. Not sure about the cam that comes with the kit, you could probably do better. Which kit specifically were you looking at? There were problems with their Twisted Wedge heads being finicky about valve train geometry, but I haven't heard the same about the 23 degree heads.
