v6 to v8 changing question 1988 camaro
i have a1988 camaro with a v6 (2.8) motor with a 700r4. my question is can i hooked up the 305 (v8) motor (1991 caprice ) to my camaro and just leave the same tranny the camaro has or do i have to change them both ?

You will need to get a different tranny for a v8. The v6 tranny uses a different bolt pattern- it is narrower at the top for any v6 except the 4.3 v6.
