stock 84 Z28 5-speed trans with a 300-330 hp 350 ?

Will the stock transmission work with a roughly 300-330 hp 350 ? Here are the engine specs 350 4-bolt main bored .20 over, forged crank, stock rods shot peened and Mahle hypereutectic pistons, all weighed and balanced by reputable machine shop, world products sportsman II heads with .202 intake/.194 exhaust, comp cams .502 in lift with 292 ? adv. duration, 1.4 roller rockers, comp hydraulic lifters , Moroso 7qt oil pan, hooker shorty headers, Vic Jr. high rise intake, Holley 750 double pumper. Car is an 1984 Z28 with unknown 5-speed and stock drivetrain. Any suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated.
I'm new to camaros, so please forgive my ignorance on some things.

If it's a stock 5 speed then it's a Borg-Warner/Non-World Class, (or W/C). It will withstand 330 HP if you drive it nice and easy, no hole shots no drag racing etc... It won't last long if you drive hard, and depending on how old and how many miles, it may not last long at all. Although some people here will say they've had pretty good luck with them with that type of HP.

Some things to clarify here:

The valve sizes should be 2.02"/1.60".

Stock rocker arm ratio is 1.5:1, not 1.4:1.

Observations:

292 adv duration is a mighty healthy cam. Meaning you're going to need more RPMs to get the car moving. Which isn't such a good thing with a T5.

A 7-quart pan, while first not at all necessary, will get in the way of exhaust if it is a kick-out style, and hang low and be threatened by every speed bump and dip is it isn't.

The rockers are not stock and the 292 is just a guess, because I don't remember the cam specs exactly.

Honestly i wouldnt stick that t5 behind a 350. We have a guy that hangs out with us and hes killed 4 t5s. 1 behind his bone stock lg4 305 and 3 behind is healthy 350 which is much like yours. If you were real ez..... and i mean reaaaaaallll ez on the trans, like not dumping the clutch or winding it up to retarted rpms it could last. I ditched my t5 a long time ago for a tr3550 which has taken some serious abuse, that the t5 would have exploded over.

Another thing, was your car a g89/g92 optioned car? If it is you should be ok gear wise which is 3.73s. If it wasnt you have 3.42 gears, with the healthy cam and the vic jr, your gonne be sluggish on takeoff unless you wind it up and ez into it. This is another reason id stay away from the t5, it wont last long doing that.

you more than likely had a w/c t5. im pretty sure his is a non w/c since mine was. im not saying it cant be done, im just saying its more than likely going to bet broken as do 80% of the t5s behind 350s

The closest cam I see on here from comp is 244 duration at .050 lift and .501 lift. It's a very stout single pattern. If that is it, it would be way to strong for that little t5. When you hit second or third gear at 6,000 rpm's don't expect it to hold. If you plan on getting into it the tr3550 or an auto with about a 2,800-3,000 would be your best bet..... or you could just run the t5 till it blows, then worry about replacing it.

That engine sounds good, but it may be a PITA on the street.
