Car: 1986 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 305 4bbl
Transmission: 700R4
Questions about engine swap and transmission.
I have a 86 Firebird,its got a stock 305 Carb. Im getting a 350 from a 69 Firebird. I was wondering if the stock transmission which is a 700r4,would handle the 350,and would it even fit in right.

Grr, forgot about the Pontiac 350. 
If it's a Pontiac 350, no the transmission won't fit. That doesn't matter much though, because the engine won't easily fit the car either.

buy the adapter to re-use your chevy transmission and then you only have the engine issue to work out.
