I Have a 1991 RS Camaro 305 TBI and I just bought a 1988 Iroc Camaro with an 350 5.7 TPI. I want to take out the 305 and put in the 350 to the RS body. but i dont know exactly what i need to swap.

I know I need the ECM, Wiring Harness and Fuel pump from the Iroc how ever i want to make it a stick shift. will the iroc ECM support the T5 from My RS?

Also My dash is max mph is 110 and is a different style from the 88 model. Will it still work after the swap? or what do i have to do to make it work? Because i Just figured i would get the dash out of a 92 Z28

 

you listed everything you need for the engine swap. the computer should support the t5 the only thing is you might have some idling issues. as long as both speedos are electric or both are cable you will be good there too.

 

ok i get what ur saying but.. the top speed on the iroc is 145 and the top speed in my RS is 110..

I was thinking about just getting the dash cluster out of 92 Z28, but i just wana make sure everything works u know?Cuz i dont wana be going 120 and my speedo says 110.?

 

the top speed of the RS is much higher but the computer shuts off the fuel pump at about 115mph.
