swap problem no power
i swapped out my TPI 305 for a 350 bored +.040 with flat top pistons, LT1 cam, erson 1.5 roller rockers it has true dual exhaust with a pair of flowmaster 40`s i changed the whole computer to one out of a 350 bird and i used 350 injectors this car has no power. it starts up nice, sounds good, idles a little rough but not bad, it smokes a wee bit when i rev it up (probly from having no cats) but it wont move out of its own way. i can burn the tires with a brake stand but thats it. this thing should smoke the tires until i lift off the gas but it wont hardly go. my oil pressure is around 15-20 psi at idle my vacuum at idle is around 17 inches. when i rev it up and let off the gas it seems to pop though the exhaust (maybe runnung rich?) the only test i havent done yet is a compression test (doing that today) and my timing is around +8* any ideas would be great i am about to blow this damn car up. and i dont have any codes coming through the computer.

Did you do any mixing and matching of the harmonic damper and front cover?

Unless you have a 2400+stall converter, those 2.73:1 gears are gonna kill any hopes of wicked burnouts. In fact, even with 3.42:1s, you're still gonna need a looser-than-stock converter. I've been through this more than once with my own cars.

the old 305 would spin the tires when i wanted i know this 350 should do a hell of alot better than the 305 did.

It's a good street cam for long engine life, good gas mileage, and torque from 2000 rpm. That wide LSA reduces torque in the idle-2000 rpm range. Mine was perfectly happy with shifting from first to sceond at 6200 rpm.

ok when i say this car has no power i mean it will not outrun a geo prism. it is not any faster before 2000 rpm or after.

Oh. In that case, as I've never hands-on modified a TPI, I'll admit I'm clueless.

What computer did you put in? Yours is a '92, correct? You would have to use a '90-'92 computer to be at all compatible.
Even then, the cam & exhaust are going to throw the computer programming for a complete loop. You've got to tune speed density for the specific combination you're running.
You do have an O2 sensor, I hope.
One thing you can be sure of it's not smoking because of no cats.
What heads are you running?
Have you checked fuel pressure?

fuel pressure is around 44 psi it has stock 350 heads on it, yes the o2 sensor is hoked up, the computer is from a 91. so you think i need to just put a stock 350 cam back in the car to fix my problem?

There are about 57 different varieties of "stock 350" heads. What heads does it have?
Going back to the stock cam would only solve one of your computer tune issues. Unless it is a completely stock '91 TPI 350 - manifolds, cam, intake, exhaust, etc. - it will need retuning.

i dont remember the casting number for the heads but they are 64cc chamber with 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves nothing special except the erson 1.5 roller rockers on top.
