From 2.8 to 3.8

I have a spare 3800 series II engine. I was wondering if I just swapped in the block like with a 3.4, would it work? Will the heads bolt up? What would be needed to get this to work if I did do the swap?

Re: From 2.8 to 3.8

the 3.8 has NO parts in common with the 3.4, nothing interchanges. Unless you have a complete but totalled '96-'02 V6 Camaro or Firebird, best to not even try.

Thanks, guess I'll have to find something else to do with this spare engine. Maybe trade it. It came from a Grand Prix GT, thought it was cracked but turned out the block is perfectly fine.
