I am moving my IROC to a storage yard in Buena Park. The old man there wants $40 a month and he said i could do ANYTHING i need to do on the car. So is there anybody that would voluteer to help a fellow fallen 3rd Genner get his IROC running again? There is an engine hoist at the yard that i can use for free.

Also, did you guys know that the L98 motor has been discontinued by GM? Now what the hell am i supposed to do? Does that mean i have to have the current engine rebuilt? If my pistons are seized isnt the block no good?

I talked to a guy at the parts department at my work and he said i absolutly need a direct replacement motor for a TPI intake. Apparently i cant get just a regular 350 because the head bolt patterns are different. On a fuel injected model, the heads bolt in at a 90* angle to the ground. On a standard 350 the heads bolt in at a 45* angle to the ground. I dont know what to do. This is just what i was told.

I am ready to repair my IROC. I would greatly appreiciate any help that you guys can give me, especialy if it is coming down and getting your hands dirty with me.

even if the engine is junk there is a good chance you can reuse the heads on a new short block.
