I am excited about my new 88 trans v-8 305 tbi.I have read numerous post on my car and mostly you tpi guys bash it and for good reason considering how my brothers tpi 350 runs.I know as a starter car it is great but i am looking for a little more power considering what some punks in my school with imports are pushing with a few mods.I can get a 350 tpi for 800 with wires and computer.Now my question is what do i have to consider when going to do the swap and what adjustments do i need to make for the motor to run in my car.I am also pondering the thought of getting the transmission for another 300.I am going to rebuild any parts that need to be fixed while i have the engine in a stand.I predict that in a year or two i will be ready to swap it in after i do some work.I know this question has been beat to death but i would really appreciate it if someone shows me some insight on this question.What is an average price for having someone do the swap for me?

1988 Trans am.......best 600 bucks ive ever spent...305 5.0 but will save my lunch money and every penny to swap for a 350 tpi in the coming two years
