I have a 92 Camaro RS with a 305 tbi. I want to put in a 383 stroker with a carb instead of using a fuel injected system.
My plan is to get a 350 from a salvage yard (which I can get for free) and buying a stroker kit and putting in it.

My questions are as follows:
If I leave the computer installed into the car......

1. will the passkey security system still work?
2. what about the airbag
3. would putting my tbi from my 305 onto the 350/383 be an option or will it even work?

Also, is there anything I can do to upgrade my T5 transmission to help withstand the added torque?

Any advise on this type of swap will be appreciated.

 

I don't really think that passkey or the airbags have much, if anything to do with the swapping of motors and such, as long as you keep your computer. I haven't done the swap, but will be looking to do this in the future so keep us updated. How about someone with experience?

Passkey is directly related to fuel injection/ ignition, so out goes TBI, out goes pass key. Air bag is completely separate device..
