no, its not a stroker, its a 400 SBC bored out. A 434 or a 377 would be a stroker that started with a 400 block. Look here.

well..... nothing really in particular, l was just wondering what it was, me and my brother were actually looking at an 84 cutlass with a 406 in it, apparently the guy says it runs 11.70's on all motor in the 1/4 does this sound right to you guys with a 406?

Considering I run 11.70's @ 117mph and I know of a few others with 406's that have ran faster NA, I think it's very possible. You just have to throw together the right combination of parts.

mine will run 11's with some tuning. i only had it to the track twice and didn't even know what jets i had in there until this winter.
like the last guy said, you just have to have the right combo. i love the way mine runs right now, so i don't plan on any more motor changes for a while. well, maybe some juice next year
unfortunately, the slicks i was using have been sold and i don't have any more cash to **** away on a set of new ones. i may run it just to see what it will do on my 18's.

about the 406, like l said, lm not too familiar with the exact specs on the motor thats in the 84 cutlass, but what kinda pistons are you guys running with your 406's? you think it could be possible the guys got forged pistons and a nice forged crank? how much juice do you think it would take to propell it into high 10's how much juice do you think it could handle? being either forged or cast
thanks again guys

sorry, l forgot to mention that me and my brother are actually looking at a 84 cutlass with a 406 carb in it, he claims it runs 11.7's in the 1/4 which l beleive is very possible from what l've been hearing.
