what is a 4 bolt main 2 bolt whats the difference

It has to do with the number of bolts holding each main cap in place. Four bolts are said to be stronger than two bolts but are supposedly more prone to cracking in the webbing area. The best choice these days seems to be a two bolt that is drilled out for splayed bolts which are bolts that go in diagnally as well as the two that go in straight. Hope this helps.
