What problems will I encounter, and what will I have to do to get it to work?

To swap your 2.8 for a carbed V8 you will have
to change out motor mounts front springs
find a 700R4 transimission for a V8 (because the V6 transimission has a different bell housing) also need a V8 drive shaft. The best advice I can give would be to find a V8 donor car that has been wrecked, also mark or tag
all of your electric wiring such as the
distributor, alternator, AC, etc.
Problems you might encounter: brake lines will
have to be moved. Changing out motor mounts
is a bitch. Check the Techinal articles for
more information (under Engines).

First off, if you have a 5 speed you won't have to switch transmissions or driveshafts. If you have an automatic, you will have to get a new driveshaft (I can't speak for sure on the driveshaft in that case, but I thought all were the same length regardless of engine/tranny). Springs and all of the rest of the front suspension can stay as is. You will have to swap motor mounts. This is pretty cheap, but tricky to do since the bolts are hard to get to and all. Nothing that can't be done pretty quickly though. Non computer controlled carb and vac. advance HEI distributor are two other musts. Plenty of posts on these type things. Run a search on the board here and see what you can find.
Good luck

Dude the first thing that needs changing are the BRAKES!!! Then the suspension like the guys mentioned above, radiator, fuel lines/ pump, rear end( unless you wanna spend the rest of your life buying one tire every three months ) then the engine.

There weren't any differences in front brake setups between V6 or V8; unless of course you got the dual-piston front calipers and rear disc brakes. Unless you meant "change the brakes" for safety reasons...!
