Plumbing question

I've been checking out the board archives for several hours.WOW!!Lots of great info.
I can't seem to find the answer to my problem
I swapped the v-belts for a third Gen Camaro serpentine set up in my 86 Monte Carlo SS(hope I don't get slammed for having a G body)
Since I had to swap to a reverse rotation water pump that has no heater hose outlet.I was wondering if any one could provide me with a decription of how the heater hose is routed (the one with the control valve)
Is it plumbed through the intake manifold?
or is there a special water neck with an outlet fitting? I can't seem to find the info in any of the books I've checked
Any info would be greatly apreciated
Thanks in advance BobJ

On my El camino (G-Body), The control valve is in the 5/8" hose. This goes to the intake manifold.
the 3/4" hose goes to the water pump.
Since you do not have the fitting on the water pump, do you have one on the radiator above the tranny cooler lines? if you do hook it up there. If not... hmmmmm???????

Thanks for the reply.I tried hooking it up to an outlet on the radiator. It just didn't seem right.Since the air conditioning compressor is now on the passenger side of the motor and alt is on the drivers side (opposite from the stock Monte setup)The serpentine project called for an A/C condensor from a Buick regal that has its hook ups on the pass. side.It just seems to me that all those crammed so close to each other on the pass. side of the radiator wasn't right.
Thanks again BobJ
