305 tpi engine removal
Just bought a 1986 305 with a suspect knackerd bottom end for a good price.
The guy i bought it of has started to strip the motor for removel.
Any tips on how to remove from the car?
Will it come out from the top or have i got to remove from the bottom?
I really do not want to remove from the bottom because of having to undo the brakes etc. and i need to move the car straight away because space is very tight in my garage.
All tips would be welcome.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
It can be removed from the top. That's the usual way of going about it.
Basically it's a matter of unbolting things from the engine, holding it up while you undo the mount and bellhousing bolts, then lifting it out.
