New 350 crate in place of 305 TPI
Hi Guys
Well my new crate motor arrived today an 86 350 (Corvette possibly??) rebuilt motor with a 2040 Compucam and matching springs. what I want to know is what
do I have to change?? Can I use my harmonic balancer, flywheel, knock sensor etc. I am
going to use my 19 lb injectors for now but I do have an adjustable fuel regulator. what else do I need or should know????
Please help as this is going in tomorrow.

Hey Jamie...glad to hear you'll be up and running again soon. AFAIK the balancer and flexplate should fit no problem as long the new motor is a one piece rear seal (being that it's an 86, it should be); but you'll need a knock sensor for a 350. I think everything else will work as is, but I'd wait for some input from someone else who knows FI a bit more than I do....
Think you'll be ready for Miramichi this coming weekend? I'm planning to go up for Saturday....
Good luck, and catch you later

Hi Pete
How is it going? I am hoping to make it this weekend, it is still up in the air. The only problem i have with the knock sensor is that the catalogue shows the same part number for the 305 knock sensor as the 350 one. Does anyone want to try and answer that one?
