Turbo Charged 383 Stroker

I want to put a 383 stroker in my camaro, and then slap an intercooled turbo on it, or supercharger but I prefer ajustable power so I can turn it off to sneak up on people. This is my first Camaro and my first project car so I need good directions on where to go with it. Whats the recomended tranny, I prefer manual, but can any manual take that much power without being a full blown drag setup? And I've been told a ford 9inch with 3.7 or 4.10s. What do you guys think?? Also what do you think its going to cost me?

A turbo charged 383 seems like 600 hp. What are you trying to do with this car? It will cost you a lot to build.

No need to turn it off. A turbo is dead quite and the Vortech SQ supercharger is supposed to be very quite too.

hmm 383 stroker with super charger?? hmm yup big bucks especially with a supercharger. Def alot of hp but you have to match everything up right to get right comp ratio and you wont be able to run to much boost. Why dont you build a 8.5/1 350 with liek 20 pounds of boost??? Go auto with high stall no one can shift faster than an automatic

Thanks for using the search function, but this post is 6-1/2 years old!!!!!

Try asking your questions on the Power Adder forum. The topic doesn't really involve engine swap (PA didn't exist back then).
