what do you think of this combo
i am tossing this idea arround. What do you guys think of this combo? ZZ-4 internals with zz-9 cam or lt4 hotcam and tfs 23 deg heads. I don't think that my injectors will be adequate for this power level. I am figureing arround 410 hp. and if that doesn't get me 11's i figure that a 100 shot should get me there.

Buddy here has this combo: ZZ3 longblock (almost identical to ZZ4); ZZ9 cam; 1.6 roller rockers; SLP runners (not sure of the base, but it's not stock); 52mm TB; 2.00/1.60 valves; runners, intake & heads extrude-honed together; dual cats & 3" cat-back; homemade AFPR; custom chip; fully prepped TH700 w/2000 stall, 4.10 w/Eaton posi, Comp T/A's.
He started with 24lb injectors, but put 19's in when he had to go through emissions test. The week after passing emissions last fall, with the 19's still in and pressure cranked up to 48, he ran his best time to date, an altitude-corrected 13.4. He would do better if he didn't have to worry about emissions, or didn't mind stipping the car of excess weight (like AC), but this is a driver. He's still using iron exhaust manifolds (want's to clean up and coat his SLP's before installing), and should have the Spohn torque arm installed soon. His convertor is probably limiting him, too.
Admittedly, we're talking about performance at 5800'. But, your injectors might not be the limiting factor you think they are.

well i was planning a 2800 stall and 3.73 gears with a set of slicks to launch on. The exhaust manifolds can be limmiting. i already have headers and a really high flowing cat and a 3" cat back. i should have enough exhaust flow for the combo i have the slp runners and a hogged out plenum with the 52mm throttle body. all i need is the base the heads and the cam and a zz-4 shortblock. I might have to run a 3000 stall so i can hit the button imediatly upon launch.
