What needs done so I can use a 2peice rear seal block?
Guys,
I posted about this in another thread, I found a 69block 4bolt main 350, all numbers match. It has the crank and thats it. What would I need to do to use it with EVERYTHING from my current setup?
Thanks,
Brendan

Long or short block?
If short block, all you need is an internally balanced damper of 6.75" diameter. All else will bolt up. Plus you will need a fuel pump block off plate.
If long block (above applies as well), you will need to elongate the center two pairs of intake bolt holes for the intake manifold.

Doesn't he have to get a different flexplate/flywheel (depending on trans) due to the different bolt pattern on the two types of cranks?
Oops, forgot to mention that I have a T5. So basically I should be able to use my lifters/rollercam/heads/etc...
The only difference when doing the 1peice to 2piece comparison is the Flexplate??
If so I think I'm going to get that block.

Heads, yes. Lifters and rollercam... Um no, you will unfortunately not be able to use those in that block. You may be able to swing using the cam and have to buy just lifters, but I havent yet verified if the older style timing chain will bolt up and work without problems.
Sorry I missed that part earlier.
So to make it complete:
As is, the cam, lifters, timing chain, crank, and flywheel off of your current setup will not work on that engine. The pistons may or may not work, depending on overbore issues. The rods will work. I think that about covers it.

Ok, so basically thats way more time than I want to waste. No wait, let me rephrase, not time wasted but money that I don't have..
I think i'm going to search for a 87+ roller block.
Thanks to all for the help,
Brendan
