2.8 to 3.8 in my '89 RS
i have an '89 RS camaro and i want a lil more engine in it. i dont have the money to do a V8 swap so i want to know what is there to it to put a 3.8 in. will i have to change things like computer, motor mounts, ect. please go over all aspects of it.

2.8 and 3.8 are very different blocks. You would have a much easier time with the V8 swap than trying a 3.8.

I agree with brharris27370 on this one, it would be a lot easier and cheaper to just put a 305 or 350 in it, and if you get the engine and parts from a salvage yard it won't cost all that much if you do the work yourself.

I'll go one step further and say the cheapest way to a V8 car when you have a V6 car is to sell what you have and buy a factory V8 car.
If you really want to give you V6 car more power, try power adders, or 3.4 l (not a straight-foward swap, but easier than 3.8 or V8).
