350 5 speed questions, please help
Hey, I've got an 84 trans am with a five speed. it had a 305 in it, and I just took that out, and got a 350 from a 70's chevy, I've got a new pilot bushing for it, is there any other bushings or anything I'll need? Also do I just tape in the pilot bushing with a socket and a hammer or what?then once I get that in, I pu on the pressure plate, clutch and all that, and put the clutch tool in through the splines and through the bushing, then tighten the clutch bolts right? anyone know the torq specs? also I'm just going to swap intakes and carbs, and then swap distrbutors and pullies, anyone see any problems or have any advice for me???

That's basically it.
Flywheel bolts ahould be around 80 ft-lbs, clutch cover bolts about 35; tighten them slowly, each one a little at a time, working your way around the clutch, so you don't bend the cover. Pretty straightforward on the whole.
