Transmission: Powerglide
Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
Pros:
They're everywhere.
They can raise compression up to over the limits of pump gas
Cons:
Just like every other casting you need to know which ones are prone to cracking.
The combustion chamber is so small that larger valves for the bigger cubic inches are out of the quetion.
They don't flow enough air to adequately feed a larger engine.
None of ther 305 heads are considered performance heads.
