hey, im just a jerky 15 year old and i was wondering how much a 91-92 camaro rs would cost with no motor in it? my plans are to put a zz4 in it and make it a sleeper. is this a good idea or not for a first car?

 

Well, from my experience it takes time. I got my firebird when I was 13 I believe it was. I bought it for $400 bucks with a blown motor in it. As I got money, I began to rebuild the new motor and pull the old one. I just finished the motor swap a few weeks ago. I'm now 14, so it took some time. But it all depends on how much money you have. Sounds like you have a good plan. I'd say you could get a camaro with no motor for a couple hundred dollars. Good Luck!

Mostly its about knowing people, if they know what you're looking for, they will look for you also. Check at junkyards, sometimes they may get something in that was junked because of engine troubles or whatever. Also look in the classifieds. Good luck.

 

i just bought an 85 iroc with no motor(bad motor) for $700 with a rebuilt trans and rearend, and all it needs is TLC, paint and a motor.

actually a friend bought it but i am doing 90% of the work. but with his money it will be awesome.
