automatic to manual engine wiring harness
I have a 89 305 tpi automatic engine wiring harness and i want to convert it to a manual one. I was wondering what has to be done. I know that the ecm has to be changed but I don't know about the wires to the tranny.

IIRC the only wires to the tranny are the TC lock-up wires and speedo wires if you have a electric speedo.
the only wires running to my tranny are the TC lock up wires and its an 83

No computer or wiring changes are necessary. The only issue you'll need to deal with is the neutral safety switch and backup lights, but they're easy enough to wire without changing harnesses. Just unplug the TCC wires on the trans and wire-tie them out of the way incase you ever decide to go back to an auto.
